Cheryl Cole


Cheryl Ann FernandezVersini is an English singer, dancer, and television personality. She rose to fame in late 2002 when she won a place as a member of girl group Girls Aloud on ITV television program Popstars The Rivals, and remained a member of the group until their split in 2013. The group achieved a string of twenty consecutive top ten singles in the United Kingdom and six platinum albums , and earned five Brit Award nominations from 2005 to 2010.

FernandezVersini was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew up on council estates in the neighbouring districts of Walker and Heaton. She is the fourth of five children of Joan Callaghan, and the first of her two children with Garry Tweedy following the collapse of her marriage to the father of her three other children. Callaghan and Tweedy were together for more than a decade but never married each other they separated when FernandezVersini was eleven years old.
