Dark River Spanish Las aguas bajan turbias English International title Rivers of Blood is a 1952 Argentine drama film directed by Hugo del Carril and written by Eduardo Borrs. The film was based on a novel by Alfredo Varela. The film starred Hugo del Carril who simultaneously directed the film, Adriana Benetti and Ral del Valle. The films central theme in oppression. It won the Silver Condor Award for Best Film.

The film premiered onOctober 1952 in Buenos Aires and onFebruary in the United States. Argentina released the film again in 2005 at the Mar del Plata Film Festival onMarch 2005.The film won the Silver Condor award for best picture at the Argentine Film Critics Association Awards in 1953. ........
