Eddie Redmayne

Edward John David Eddie Redmayne, OBE is an English actor, model and singer. Born and raised in the City of Westminster, Redmayne studied history of art at the Trinity College, Cambridge, after which he briefly dabbled with a modelling career. Redmayne began his professional acting career as a youth in London theatre before making his screen debut in 1998 with guest appearances on television. His first film roles came in 2006 with Like Minds and The Good Shepherd, and he went on to play supporting roles in several films, including Savage Grace , Elizabeth The Golden Age , and The Other Boleyn Girl .

Redmayne was born onJanuary 1982 in Westminster, London. His mother, Patricia , runs a relocation business, and his father, Richard Redmayne, is a businessman in corporate finance. His paternal greatgrandfather was Sir Richard Redmayne, a civil and mining engineer. He has an older brother, a younger brother, and an older halfbrother and halfsister. Redmayne has English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh ancestry.
