Faye Dunaway


Dorothy Faye Dunaway is an American actress, best known for her starring roles in films from the 1960s onwards. Regarded as one of the greatest actresses of her generation, she has won an Academy Award, three Golden Globes, a BAFTA, an Emmy, and was the firstever recipient of a Leopard Club Award which honors film professionals whose work has left a mark on the collective imagination. In 2011, the government of France made her an Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters.

Dunaway was born in Bascom, Florida, the daughter of Grace April , a housewife, and John MacDowell Dunaway, Jr. , a career noncommissioned officer in the United States Army. She is of ScotsIrish, English, and German descent. She spent her childhood traveling throughout the United States and Europe.
