Kyle Palmieri


Kyle Charles Palmieri is an American professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League . He was drafted in the first round, 26th overall, by Anaheim in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Palmieri was born in Smithtown, New York, but grew up in Montvale, New Jersey. He played briefly for the wellknown coach Gary Hess of the Kodiak Hockey Club skating at McKay Ice Arena in Englewood, NJ and with the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club, before joining the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Palmieri played college hockey for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish for one season. In his lone season at Notre Dame, Palmieri scored nine goals, including five power play goals, and had eight assists.
