Mae Whitman


Mae Margaret Whitman is an American actress, singer and voice artist. After making her feature film debut as Meg Ryans daughter in 1994s When a Man Loves a Woman and George Clooneys daughter in One Fine Day, released the same year, she was cast as the Presidents daughter in Independence Day . She would later become known for her television roles as Ann Veal on Arrested Development and Amber Holt on Parenthood. Whitman is also known for costarring in the films Scott Pilgrim vs. the World , The Perks of Being a Wallflower as well as her lead role in The Duff .

Whitman was born on June 9, 1988 in Los Angeles, California, the only child of mother Pat Musick, a voice artist, and father Jeff Whitman, a personal manager and set construction coordinator. She was educated in a private school in Los Angeles.
