Nadja Benaissa


Nadja Benaissa is a German recording artist, television personality, and occasional actress. She rose to fame in late 2000 when she auditioned for the reality television show Popstars on RTL II. The programme announced that Benaissa had won a place as a member of the allfemale pop band No Angels. The group has achieved massive success and went on to become the biggestselling German girlband to date.

Benaissa is the second child born to a Moroccan father, Muhamed Benaissa, and a mother of mixed Bosniak and German ethnicity with German citizenship, Sabina. Raised alongside her three years older brother Amin, she spent much of her childhood in Langen, Hesse, where her parents worked in the catering business, and she attended the GeschwisterSchollSchule.
