Paul Rudd


Paul Stephen Rudd is an American actor, comedian, writer and producer. Born in Passaic, New Jersey to English parents, Rudd studied theatre at the University of Kansas, and later at the British American Drama Academy, where he acted in several stage productions. He made his acting debut in 1992 with NBCs drama series Sisters, and later ventured into film roles starting with a supporting role in Corey Allens Moment of Truth in 1993.

Rudd was born on April 6, 1969, in Passaic, New Jersey. His father, Michael, was a historical tour guide and former vicepresident of Trans World Airlines who died of cancer, while his mother, Gloria, was a sales manager at the television station KCMOTV in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents were born in the United Kingdom, his father from Edgware and his mother from Surbiton, both in London. Rudds parents were both Jewish . The familys original surname, Rudnitzky, was changed by his grandfather to Rudd. Rudd had a bar mitzvah ceremony. When he was ten, Rudds family moved to Lenexa, Kansas. His family also spent three years living in Anaheim, California, because of his fathers occupation.
