Albert G. Burr


Albert George Burr was a United States Representative in Congress from the state of Illinois for two terms, the 40th and 41st Congresses . He was a member of the Democratic Party.

He was born near Batavia, Genesee County, New York, on November 8, 1829, but moved with his mother to Illinois in 1830. Prior to his election to the U.S. House, Burr practiced law in Winchester, Illinois and served from 1861 until 1864 in the Illinois House of Representatives.
