Alfredo Bryce
Alfredo Bryce Echenique is a Peruvian writer born in Lima. He has written numerous books and short stories.
Bryce was born to an AngloPeruvian family of upper class, related to John Bryce Weddle, ancestor of the Marquesses of MilfordHaven and of the duchesses of Abercon and Westminster. He was the third son and the fourth of the five children of the banker Francisco Bryce Arrspide and his wife, Elena Echenique Basombro, granddaughter of the former President Jos Rufino Echenique.
