Barbra Ring

Barbra Ring was a Norwegian novelist, short story writer, childrens writer, biographer, literary critic and theatre critic. She made her literary dbut in 1904 with the girls novel Babbens Dagbog. Her childrens books about Peik and other characters achieved great popularity. Her first novel for adults was Jomfruen, published in 1914. She was the greatgranddaughter of Hanna Winsnes, and the mother of actress and stage producer Gerda Ring.
