Daniel Petrie
Daniel Mannix Petrie was a Canadian television and film director.
Petrie was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of Mary Anne and William Mark Petrie, a softdrink manufacturer. He moved to the United States in 1945. His signature film A Raisin in the Sun , was nominated for the Palme dOr award at the Cannes Film Festival. He also directed Buster and Billie the Academy Awardnominated Resurrection Fort Apache, The Bronx and Cocoon The Return .
