Edward Bickersteth (bishop of Exeter)


Edward Henry Bickersteth was a bishop in the Church of England.

Edward Henry Bickersteth was born in Islington, the son of Edward Bickersteth, Rector of Watton, Hertfordshire. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, where he graduated B.A. in Classics 1847, and proceeded M.A. in 1850. and was awarded the Chancellors Gold Medal for poetry in 1844, 1845 and 1846.
