Edward Chapman (British Army officer)
General Sir Edward Francis Chapman KCB FRGS was a senior British Army officer who commanded the Army in Scotland and was the ceremonial head of the Royal Regiment of Artillery.
Chapman was the son of Henry Frederick Chapman, an officer of the British East India Company, and Priscilla Susannah Wakefield. He was born in Calcutta, India and educated at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich.
