Eleonore of Liechtenstein


Maria Eleonore of Liechtenstein was a princess of Liechtenstein and a politically influential Austrian salonist. She was born as a Princess of OettingenOettingen and OettingenSpielberg, daughter of Prince Johann Aloys of OettingenSpielberg and his wife Princess Therese of SchleswigHolsteinWeisenburg. From 1768 onward, she held a discussion circle with a group of people including Emperor Joseph II, who had been in love with her she was influential upon Joseph, and continued to wield influence after his death in 1790.
