Frederick Casimir, Count of Hanau Lichtenberg


Friedrich Casimir of Hanau was a member of the HanauLichtenberg branch of the House of Hanau. He was the ruling Count of HanauLichtenberg from 1641 and of HanauMnzenberg from 1642.

Friedrich Casimir was born in Bouxwiller , the residence of the county of HanauLichtenberg, as the son of Count Philipp Wolfgang and his wife, Countess Johanna of Oettingen . During his childhood, his parents and he had to flee to Strasbourg several times, due to the Thirty Years War.
