Gauri Shinde
Gauri Shinde is an Indian adfilm and feature film director. Shinde has made her directional debut with the highly acclaimed English Vinglish , which marked the comeback of actress Sridevi. Shinde featured in the Financial Times 2012 list ofIndians To Watch. She also featured on Rediffs list of BollywoodsBest Directors of 2012. Her husband R. Balki is the director of acclaimed films such as Cheeni Kum and Paa .
Gauri Shinde was born and brought up in Pune, where she studied at St Josephs High School and later graduated from Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication in Pune. Her aspiration towards filmmaking started right from the days at the end of her college life.
