George C. Butte

Butte was born in San Francisco, California, to Charles Felix Butte and the former Lena Clara Stoes. When he was nine years old, Buttes family moved to Hunt County, east of Dallas, Texas, where he was reared on a farm near Commerce and attended public schools.
