George Dana Boardman Pepper

George Dana Boardman Pepper was the ninth President of Colby College, Maine, United States, from 18821889.

Pepper was born in Ware, MA, the youngest ofchildren, to a family of limited means. He attended the Williston Seminary for three years before entering Amherst College at the age ofin 1853 in 1857, he attended the Andover Theological Seminary .
