Gerd Dietrich Schneider
GerdDietrich Schneider was a highly decorated Oberleutnant zur See in the Kriegsmarine during World War II and a Korvettenkapitn der Reserve in the Bundesmarine. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
