Grigory Petrovsky
Grigory Ivanovich Petrovsky was a prominent Soviet communist. He participated in signing the Treaty on the Creation of the USSR and the Treaty of BrestLitovsk. Petrovsky was one of the officials responsible for implementing160collectivization and for the subsequent Ukrainian famine of 193233.
Petrovsky was born in a village of Pechenihy in Kharkov Governorate onFebruary 1878, in the family of a craftsman . Grigorys father died when he was three. Petrovsky had two siblings.
