Heinrich Himmler

Heinrich Luitpold Himmler October 1900160May 1945 was Reichsfhrer of the Schutzstaffel , and a leading member of the Nazi Party of Nazi Germany. Nazi leader Adolf Hitler briefly appointed him a military commander and later Commander of the Replacement Army and General Plenipotentiary for the administration of the entire Third Reich . Himmler was one of the most powerful men in Nazi Germany and one of the people most directly responsible for the Holocaust.

Heinrich Luitpold Himmler was born in Munich onOctober 1900 into a conservative middleclass Roman Catholic family. His father was Gebhard Himmler , a teacher, and his mother was Anna Maria Himmler , a devout Roman Catholic. Heinrich had two brothers, Gebhard Ludwig and Ernst Hermann .
