Herman Potonik was a Slovene rocket engineer and pioneer of cosmonautics . He is chiefly remembered for his work addressing the longterm human habitation of space.
Potonik was born in the AustriaHungarian port of Pula in southern Istria . His family was of Slovene ethnicity and originated from Lower Styria in AustriaHungary .
