Jacob F. Burket

Jacob Fillmore Burket was a Republican politician in the U.S. State of Ohio who was an Ohio Supreme Court Judge 18931904.

Jacob F. Burket was born in Perry County, Ohio on a farm near Somerset. In 1839, his family moved to Hancock County, where he worked on a farm and attended country schools. At age seventeen, he was apprenticed to his brotherinlaw in Findlay to learn the carpenters trade. In 1855, he began teaching school, and in 1859, graduated from an academy in Republic in Seneca County.
