Manuel Antonio Caro

Manuel Antonio Caro was a Chilean painter and is classed among Chiles bestloved artists. The son of Victorino Caro y Crcamo and Asuncin de Olavarra y Sierpe, he was named Caro Olavarra. The first Chilean student to attend the cole des BeauxArts in Paris, Caros body of work included portraits and scenes of everyday life, and earned him high honors and international recognition.
