Narcisse Lecavalier
Narcisse Lecavalier was a notary and political figure in Quebec. He represented JacquesCartier from 1867 to 1882 as a Conservative member.
He was born in SaintLaurent, Lower Canada, the son of Guillaume Lecavalier and MarieLouise Groulx. Lecavalier studied theology at the Sminaire de SainteThrse. In 1853, he qualified as a notary and set up practice in SaintLaurent. He married Mariemilie Grevier in 1856. Over the years, Lecavalier was secretarytreasurer for the municipal councils and for the school boards of SaintLaurent, NotreDamedeGrce and CtedesNeiges. He resigned his seat in the Quebec assembly after he was named registrar for the counties of Hochelaga and JacquesCartier in 1882. He died at SaintLaurent at the age of 64.
