Natalie of Serbia


Natalija Obrenovi , ne Keschko , known as Natalie of Serbia, was the Princess consort of Serbia from 1875 to 1882 and then Queen consort of Serbia from 1882 to 1889, as the wife of Milan I of Serbia.

She was born in 1859 in Florence as the first child of an ethnic Romanian colonel in the Russian Army, Petre Kecu, , and Romanian Princess Pulcheria Sturdza . Her father was the son of Ioan Kecu, a Marshal of Nobility of Bessarabia, and Romanian noblewoman Natalia Bal.
