Commander Oliver Young was an English Royal Navy officer and later a British politician. He was the Conservative Member of Parliament for Wokingham from 1898 to 1901.
Young was born onJuly 1855 at Wargrave in Berkshire, the son of Adolphus William Young a solicitor and later a Member of Parliament and his Australian wife Jane . He was educated at Burneys Naval Academy at Gosport and entered the Royal Navy in 1869.
