Orville T. Chamberlain
Second Lieutenant Orville Tyron Chamberlain was am American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Chamberlain received the United States highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his action during the Battle of Chickamauga, Georgia onSeptember 1863. He was honored with the award onMarch 1896.
Chamberlain was born in Leesburgh, Indiana on September 1, 1841. He enlisted into the 74th Indiana Infantry.
