Pecksuot

Pecksuot was a chief of a Massachusett tribe in the early 17th century until his death in 1624. He was killed in the battle at Wessagusset Colony by Miles Standish. His death has been immortalized in Henry Wadsworth Longfellows poem The Courtship of Miles Standish.
