Francis Frank Stirrup birth registered in Leigh, was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1950s and 1960s, playing at representative level for Lancashire, and at club level for Culcheth ARLFC , Salford, and Oldham , as a Fullback, Wing, StandoffFiveeighth, or ScrumhalfHalfback, i.e. number 1,or 5, 6, or 7. Frank Stirrup signed for Oldham during November 1950, and made his dbut against Belle Vue Rangers on SaturdayJanuary 1951.
