A Barefoot Dream


A Barefoot Dream Hangul RRMaenbalui Kkum is a 2010 drama film coproduction between South Korea and Japan directed by Kim Taekyun. It is based on the true story of Kim Shinhwan, a retired Korean footballer who goes to East Timor after his business fails and launches a youth football team, thus becoming the Hiddink of Korea. The film was selected as the South Korean entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards but it did not make the final shortlist. The film recorded 332,699 admissions during its theatrical run in South Korea.
