Acharya (film)

Acharya is an upcoming documentary film about A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the Hare Krishna movement, scheduled for release in September 2015 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Bhaktivedanta Swamis arrival in the United States. It is directed by Yadubara Das.

Viewers will experience these original images and raw archival footage, as well as dramatic reenactments of his spiritual upbringing, intertwined with featured scholars, scientists, psychologists, and Prabhupadas disciples. Prabhupadas original voice recordings will guide you the story of his life and give insights into an ancient philosophy a wisdom which had never before been heard in the English speaking world.Acharya explores the sacred science of ancient Indias Vaishnava thought, presenting a unique and historical perspective on topics such as the soul, mantra meditation, compassion and ecology, and the path to discovering true happiness. ........
