Alexander III of Russia

Alexander III , or Alexander Alexandrovich Romanov was the penultimate Emperor of Russia, King of Poland, and Grand Prince of Finland fromMarch 1601601881 until his death onNovember1601601894. He was highly conservative and reversed some of the liberal reforms of his father, Alexander II. During Alexanders reign Russia fought no major wars, for which he was styled The Peacemaker .

Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich was born onMarch 1845 at the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire, the second son of Emperor Alexander II of Russia and his first wife Maria Alexandrovna .
