Alexander Van der Bellen , known informally as Sascha, is an Austrian politician and economist, and the Presidentelect of Austria.
Alexander Van der Bellen, who is known privately by the nickname Sascha , was born in Vienna, to an aristocratic Russianborn father of mixed Baltic German, Dutch, and Estonian descent, Alexander Konstantin , and an Estonian mother, Alma , who were both refugees from Stalinism. His parents successively held Russian, Estonian, and Austrian citizenship.
