Alun Ffred Jones

Alun Ffred Jones is a Welsh politician and member of Plaid Cymru. Jones was the National Assembly for Wales Member for Caernarfon 200307 and for the newly created Arfon constituency since the National Assembly for Wales election, 2007.

Jones was born in Brynamman and is the brother of former Plaid Cymru President Dafydd Iwan. He was educated in the University of Wales, Bangor. Before his election, he was a Television director and producer for Ffilmiaur Nant and, before that, was a Welsh teacher and Head of Department and a journalist with HTV. Jones speaks Welsh, English and French. He enjoys theatre, sports and gardening.
