Andrew McCarthy


Andrew Thomas McCarthy is an American actor, travel writer and television director from Westfield, New Jersey. He is known for his roles in the 1980s films St. Elmos Fire, Mannequin, Weekend at Bernies, Pretty in Pink, and Less Than Zero, and more recently for his roles in the television shows Lipstick Jungle, White Collar, Royal Pains, and The Family.

McCarthy was born in Westfield, New Jersey. His mother worked for a newspaper and his father was involved in investments and stocks. McCarthy moved to Bernardsville, New Jersey, as a teenager and attended the Pingry School. He also attended the towns public school, Bernards High School, for part of a year.
