Bla Heinrich Bnthy was the founder of the White Stag Leadership Development Program, organized the International Systems Institute, and was cofounder of the General Evolutionary Research Group, A HungarianAmerican who remained loyal to his birth country his entire life, he served as an influential professor of systems theory, systems scientist and professor at San Jose State University and UC Berkeley. He became a widely read and respected author in the United States.

Bla Bnthy was born in 1919 in Gyula, Hungary, as the oldest of four sons. His father Peter was a minister of the Reformed Church in Hungary and his mother Hildegard Pallmann was a teacher. Peter Bnthy had earned the honorary title Vitz for his service during World War I, and Bla, as his oldest son, inherited the title.
