Barry Manilow


Barry Manilow is an American singersongwriter, arranger, musician and producer. He is best known for such recordings as Mandy, Cant Smile Without You, and Copacabana .

Manilow was born on June 17, 1943, as Barry Alan Pincus in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Edna Manilow and Harold Pincus . His father was born to a Jewish father and an IrishAmerican Catholic mother, while his maternal grandparents were of Russian Jewish background. Barry adopted his mothers maiden name, Manilow, at the time of his bar mitzvah.
