Beder Meye Josna

Beder Meye Josna Bengali , also known as Beder Meye Jyotsna is a 1991 Bengali film directed by Motiur Rahman Panu. It is a remake of a famous Bangladeshi movie of the same name. The film stars Chiranjit and Anju Ghosh. This movie is the first IndoBangladesh coproduction of a Bengali film. The original movie is also reputed to be the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of all time.citation needed

This story was taken from a very old rural Bengali play of the same name. The tune of the title song, Beder meye Jyotsna amay katha diyeche, was adopted from the song Ek pardesi mera dil le gaya from the film Phagun 1958.
