Bernard Joseph Harrington
Bernard Joseph Harrington is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was the seventh Bishop of Winona.
Bernard Harrington was born in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Norah Harrington he has two brothers, John and Timothy, and one sister, Irene. His parents were immigrants from Bantry Bay, County Cork, in Ireland. He studied at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, St. Johns Provincial Seminary in Plymouth, and the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., from where he obtained his Masters degree in Education. Harrington was ordained to the priesthood on June 6, 1959, in the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit.
