Blazing the Overland Trail
Blazing the Overland Trail 1956 is a Columbia Pictures serial directed by veteran serial specialist Spencer Gordon Bennet and produced by another serial specialist, Sam Katzman. It was the 57th and last serial produced by Columbia and the last serial ever produced by any major studio. Republic Pictures, the only other serialproducing studio in the mid 50s, had ceased its serial production the previous year with King of the Carnival.
