Csaire Thrien was a merchant and political figure in Quebec. He represented Laprairie in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1867 to 1871 as a Conservative member.
He was born in LAssomption, Lower Canada, the son of JeanBaptiste Thrien and Apolline Garipy. Thrien married MarieFlonise Colette in 1852. He worked as a clerk in his fatherinlaw Paul Colettes store before establishing himself as a merchant in SaintIsidore. Thrien was mayor of SaintIsidore from 1866 to 1868. After the death of his first wife, he married zilda Mazurette, dit Lapierre. He died in Verchres at the age of 66.
