Charlotte Rae

Charlotte Rae is an American character actress of stage, comedian, singer and dancer whose career spans six decades.

She was born as Charlotte Rae Lubotsky on April 22, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Russian Jewish immigrants Esther , who was a childhood friend of Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir, and Meyer Lubotsky, a retail tire business owner. She is one of three children, along with Miriam and Beverly .
