Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao

Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao is the present Governor of Maharashtra state of India. He took oath as the Governor onAugust 2014. He was Union Minister of State for internal affairs in the Vajpayeeled BJP Govt government from 1999. He was elected to 12th and 13th Lok Sabha from Karimnagar in Telangana as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.

He was born in Nagaram, Karimnagar onFebruary 1942 to C. Srinivasa Rao and Chanddramma, in a Velama Dora Family. He had three brothers. He completed his schooling in Vemulawada, PUC in Hyderabad, B.Sc. in Nanded of Maharashtra and later studied law at Osmania University.
