Chittaranjan Deb
Chittaranjan Deb was a researcher on Rabindranath Tagore and also a poet, essayist. He lived in Santiniketan. He was given the title of Rabindra Tattwacharya by the Rabindra Sankriti Parishat, Kolkata for his lifelong works and contributions to the field of literature.
Chittaranjan Deb was born at Chhatiain, Sylhet, present Bangladesh. Born in Chhatiain village of Srihatya of AssamBengal , Deb underwent his primary education there in a school and came out second in the matriculation or the final schoolleaving examination under the University of Calcutta. Later at the only age of 17, he came to study at the VisvaBharati University, in Santiniketan.
