Daniyal (Mughal prince)

Daniyal Mirza was an Imperial Prince of the Timurid Dynasty who served as the Viceroy of Deccan. He was the third son of Emperor Akbar the Great and the brother of the Emperor Jahangir. His two sons were executed by Shah Jahan onJan 1658.

Daniyal was born onSeptember 1572. Akbar allowed him to be brought up by Raja Bharmals wife in Amer, as a gesture of honour to the rajas family. He was made the Subahdar of the Deccan fromApril 1601 to April 1604. He was appointed to an Imperial mansab of 7,000 soldiers. He had nine wives
