Dieter Damerius
Dieter Damerius was a Leutnant of the Reserves in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross and was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Damerius was captured by British forces at the end of the war and was released in February 1946.
