Dominic Charles Roberts Grieve, QC is an English Conservative politician, barrister, Queens Counsel and a Member of the Privy Council. He has been the Member of Parliament for Beaconsfield since 1997, and served as Attorney General for England and Wales and Advocate General for Northern Ireland from May 2010 to July 2014, attending Cabinet. He left the office of Attorney General as part of theJuly 2014 Cabinet reshuffle, and was replaced by Jeremy Wright.
Grieve was born in Lambeth, the son of Percy Grieve QC and of an AngloFrench mother, Evelyn Raymonde Louise Mijouain. He was educated at the Lyce Franais Charles de Gaulle on Cromwell Road in South Kensington, Colet Court preparatory school in Barnes, Westminster School, and Magdalen College, Oxford, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern History in 1978. He was the President of the Oxford University Conservative Association in 1977.
