Dominique Strauss Kahn
Dominique Gaston Andr StraussKahn , is a former French politician and a controversial figure of the Socialist Party who has been involved in several financial and sexual scandals. He is often referred to in the media, and by himself, as DSK. StraussKahn became the managing director of the International Monetary Fund onSeptember 2007, with the backing of his countrys president, Nicolas Sarkozy, and served in that role until his resignation onMay 2011 following allegations that he had sexually assaulted a hotel employee. Other allegations followed.
Dominique StraussKahn was born onApril 1949 in the wealthy Paris suburb of NeuillysurSeine, HautsdeSeine. He is the son of lawyer Gilbert StraussKahn. StraussKahns father was born to an Alsatian Jewish father and a Catholic mother from Lorraine StraussKahns mother is from a Sephardic Jewish family in Tunisia.
